NDNA to invite UAE childcare sector to be the best at Dubai event

Quality will be the watchword at a free event for nursery owners and managers' hosted by the UK’s National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA).

The event themed Quality Matters For All will be held at Dubai’s prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel on Wednesday 9 December from 3pm to 6pm.

Places for nursery owners, managers and practitioners are free on a first come first served basis.

NDNA’s Chief Executive, Purnima Tanuku OBE, will give a keynote address. Other speakers include Tracey Warren, Director of Education at the Developing Child Centre in Dubai and Sarah Steel, NDNA Policy Committee Member and Managing Director of The Old Station Nursery in Oxfordshire, England.

The seminar, with its invaluable networking opportunities, will be held in partnership with Quality Matters 4 Children based in Dubai.

Purnima Tanuku said: “Quality is the key to this event. It will be a real celebration of the excellent services that the nursery sector is providing for children and families in the UAE.

“We will be exploring how childcare providers can continue to improve, delivering care and education to the highest possible standards, especially in terms of literacy, maths and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Quality Matters For All is NDNA’s third annual event in Dubai, where many nurseries follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage and are increasingly benchmarking their standards against NDNA’s e-Quality Counts programme.

e-Quality Counts is NDNA’s flagship nursery accreditation scheme, and the only quality improvement programme specifically for nurseries. It enables nurseries to review quality and practice, in all areas, against a set of best nursery practice standards.

Nurseries that achieve e-Quality Counts demonstrate exemplary childcare above and beyond the requirements of regulators such as MOSA in the UAE and Ofsted in England."

To request a place – two are available per nursery - please email Heather Greenwood, International Business Development Manager at heather.greenwood@ndna.org.uk. Delegates can earn CPD hours for attendance and will receive a certificate from Quality Matters 4 Children.
